Terms of Sale & Use

Exercise Good Airmanship. Lumen's Aviation Weather Maps are decorative/educational and must not be used as a substitute for flight planning or real-world navigation. Although sourced from official data, accuracy is not guaranteed and information may be outdated or parsed incorrectly.

Payments & Taxes. Payments are processed by Square; applicable taxes and shipping costs are added at checkout.

Order Rejections. We reserve the right to review and decline orders which result from system errors or exploits. In such cases, we will promptly contact you to discuss alternative solutions or provide a full refund.

Returns. See how returns are handled in the Return Policy section.

Warranty & Liability. Except as described above, products are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. That said, please reach out on Instagram if you experience an issue and I’ll do my best to make it right.

Governing Law. These terms are governed by the laws of California.

Open Source Software

I created this business and website by myself. However I could never have built this without the countless hours which others poured into the open-source software I used. Some require licenses, some don't, but they all deserve to be listed and given proper attribution.

Donation

We believe in giving back. We donate 10% of profits in support of the Pilot Mental Health Campaign. The campaign does not sponsor or endorse our products. Customer purchases are not tax-deductible.

Return Policy

Each map is made to order. Custom items are non-returnable except in cases of defects or damage reported within 7 days of delivery. In such cases we will, at our discretion, repair, replace, or refund the item. Please contact us and we will give our best effort to help resolve any problems.

We collect and use only the information necessary to process your order and deliver your product.

Information We Collect

• Address verification: When you verify your shipping address, it is checked via Shippo’s Address Verification API. Your name is not included in this request.
• Payments: We use Square to process payments. Our servers only see a secure, tokenized representation of your payment method; we never store full card numbers. See Square’s Privacy Policy.
• Shipping: We use Shippo to generate shipping labels and provide tracking. We share your name, address, and email with Shippo and the selected carrier. See Shippo’s Privacy Policy.
• Server: Basic server and security logs (e.g., IP address, user agent) may be processed by our hosting/CDN provider to keep the site secure and reliable.

How We Use Your Information

Solely to fulfill your order, ship your map, and meet tax/accounting obligations.

Retention

We keep order records (name, address, email, order details) for as long as required by tax and accounting law (typically up to 7 years). We do not store payment card details.

Cookies & Tracking

We do not use analytics or advertising cookies. Essential cookies may be used to operate checkout and keep the site secure.

Security

Payments are handled by Square (PCI-DSS compliant). We use reasonable measures to protect your information; no method is 100% secure.
